How we got here

It started at a work happy hour, of all places.

Two different states. Two different colleges. Somehow the same company, the same town, the same night.

Summer 2021: Friendship

Nothing happened right away. For the next year and a half, we barely spoke.

Then our friend groups collided, hangouts turned into inside jokes, and it just clicked. By summer 2024, we were close enough to throw a joint birthday party, the first of many.

Fall 2024: Falling in Love

Somewhere along the way, friendship turned into something more. Spencer knew it first, it just took a nudge from a good friend for Megan to catch up. On December 10, 2024, we went on our first date and never looked back.

What came next: trips across the world, long drives with no music because we were too busy talking, morning walks, and quiet nights at home cooking dinner and playing cards. These days, we know what the other needs before they even have to ask, and whether we're halfway across the world or on the couch on a random Tuesday, we're best friends who never stop laughing.

It didn't take long to know we were each other's person.

Spring 2026: Engagement

Christmas 2025, Spencer asked Megan's dad for his blessing. And so began the most stressful and “secretive” (he tried) four months of his life.

On April 30, 2026, Spencer pulled off a beautiful proposal, and Megan said yes. We can't wait to marry each other, and keep writing this story from here.

Shout Outs

A special shout-out to Zach, Spencer's best friend, who saw us out together exactly once and immediately told Spencer we were going to end up married. Turns out, he was right.
