Make a weekend of it. A few of our favorite spots along the South Jersey shore.

The Beach

If you'd like to get out in the sun, it's a great time of year to experience the Jersey Shore beaches with smaller crowds. A few we'd suggest:

  • Ocean City
  • Brigantine
  • Margate
  • Avalon

Ocean City Boardwalk

Where Megan grew up visiting every summer. Try her (and now Spencer's) favorite places:

  • Prep's Pizza — 10th Street
  • Johnson's Popcorn
  • Henry's (now under a new name — TBD), Megan's old summer job
  • Rides at Castaway Cove
  • Mini golf — Congo Falls, the glow-in-the-dark course, and more

Atlantic City

Fifteen minutes up the road, AC has the boardwalk, the beach, and the casinos if you're feeling lucky.

  • Seafood on the bay

Cape May

About an hour south — a charming Victorian beach town worth the drive if you have an afternoon.
